In the fall of 2010 we contracted with Bob to build a house for us. As he met with us it became obvious that he was knowledgeable about the process of building and that he had established a wide range of talented people who could and did put the plan into action. He worked with us at length in the design process and did all possible to build the house within the budget amount we established. He involved us in every decision that needed to be made along the way. When the house was under roof and before the drywall went on, he held a “Stud Party” for us and our friends. People came to the party and armed with magic markers or pens went about the house writing blessings and well wishes on the studs. This event was very special to us and we enjoyed reading each entry after everyone had gone home. Bob is personable, knowledgeable about all aspects of the building process, a good listener, dedicated to his work, and man of integrity. His guidance and work has provided us with a home that he can claim pride in and one we can say we helped design.

Over the past 5 years I have utilized the services of Bob Donalson and RCD Builders for four separate projects:
– Redoing the kitchen and entire first floor of my house
Cary
– Building a screen porch
– Replacing all of the house’s siding
– Gutting and redesigning the master bathroom
RCD Builders consistently did outstanding work. They excelled not only in quality of their craftsmanship, but they got the aesthetics of each project right as well.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that, unlike most contractors who disappear after (or even before) the work is complete, RCD Builders stands behind its work 100% long after “the check” has been cashed. Bob promptly stops by when a touch up is needed – even though 5 years have passed since the work was completed.
Finally, I would add that Bob is an individual of integrity who can be trusted without hesitation. Normally I make sure that I am at home whenever any work is done inside the house. Bob has been the only contractor that I have ever entrusted a house key to and let work in my home even when I was out of town.
In my experience Bob Donalson and RCD Builders are the best of the best.

Bob did a major modification to the inside of my home. He basically reconfigured the upstairs and allowed us to eliminate a walk-through bedroom, providing us with a space that is much more functional, not to mention it looks absolutely amazing.
Bob is easy to work with and is great with suggestions and design ideas. His work was timely and of high quality. If I needed to do further work to this house or, build one from the ground up, Bob would be the person to call.

I highly recommend “Bob the Builder” (as I fondly call him) to build your dream home! We decided to build in NC while living in Washington, DC. After the initial meeting, most of the exchanges with Bob were done by email and phone calls. Bob provided regular email and phone updates as well as e-pics throughout the construction and finishing phases-it was like being there without being there! Answers to my many questions were answered quickly and thoroughly.
